Sobre el trabajo de Werner Herzog escribe el crítico de cine Nelson Carro: “Definir un Herzog documental no resulta fácil, por lo mismo que tampoco lo es marcar los límites del Herzog ficción. En realidad, no sólo esta frontera está, en general, cada día menos definida, sino que en el caso de Herzog la distinción no presupone una actitud diferente del creador ante la realidad o ante su material ficticio.
